Question
You turn up at your local flying organization to be told that they have taken delivery of another aircraft, the same aircraft that you normally rent, but with one exeption, its fitted with a ballistic recovery system, BRS.
You are then told that it will be an extra FIVER per hour to fly.
Would you pay it ? if not why not ?

Depends if:
a) I believed the system might be useful
b) I believed that the installation cost and maintenance cost were fairly reflected in the extra fiver
What is the aircraft? Can't be a Cirrus, surely?

Worth it for long sea or mountain crossings. But, perchance, is the extra fiver just 'cos it's a newer shinier aeroplane, and the BRS just happens to be part of the package?
