Danger Area Symbols

After studying a 1:500,000 VFR chart there are some symbols that appear next to the text in danger areas. I can’t find any legend or key to tell me what they mean. They usually appear before the altitude information and normally consist of a combination of ¶, §, †.

If anyone can help I’d very much appreciate it! Thanks in advance!

In the legend there are 3 separate lists of danger areas with associated telephone numbers or frequencies, look in the paragraph immediately before each list.

1. Pre-flight information
2. Danger area activity information service
3. Danger area crossing service

Not forgetting * which indicates that byelaws exist which prohibit entry. Not that you’d want to enter anyway?!
