Flying in France with Medical Declaration
AFIK,
Microlite pilots in France don't need any medical, let alone self dec. ones.
That's their "ULM" class and includes therefore some quite healthy two seat a/c
with 85 to 100 kt genuine cruise - if that's any good ?

UK CAA Medical Declaration is valid in the UK only.
The only reason the microlight boys can get away with it is because you don't need a medical at all to fly a microlight in France.

Yes, but the CAA website does state ( or imply ) that it's possible to get clearance to fly in France with a Medical Declaration. I've tried to find the e mail address of the Fresh DGCA without success.

You could try writing to these chaps...less bureaucratic, more hands-on the-stick types. Try in English first or drop me a pm if you need some assistance with the old Franglais.

For a time France accepted an ICAO compliant Class 2 medical with the NPPL SSEA. The concession was dropped as soon as the LAPL became available.
It took a lot of negotiating to get that agreement, so it is highly unlikely that they would now accept a medical declaration.
