PPL Conversion - CAA (UK) to FAA (US)
Hi all!
I'm a Singaporean (currently based in Singapore) with a PPL from UK's CAA, wishing to convert to US's FAA PPL.
Could anyone advise procedures?
Thank you!!

1. use the search function on pprune - gaining a US private certificate is one of the most answered questions ...
2. search for 14 CFR part 61 and do what ever you need to make sure you reach the requirements to take the FAA private check ride. You can count your hours toward the requirements, but you need to meet the specific requirements, for example a sign off from an FAA instructor to take the check ride is required
3. when sure you meet the requirements, take the check ride. There is no conversion process, only you have to meet the same requirements as anyone else taking the FAA check ride
4. Did I mention using the search function?

Just remember one thing your Uk licence does not have night rating included so if you havnt done any night flying to gain the rating you will need to do some as part of your FÂA licence ,the dual portion of the night could be part of your 3 hours with a CFI though
