Somehow I just knew Geoffrey was going to feature in this thread

But to be fair, he flies a Marchetti SF260D, so he is already posing (not that I'm at all jealous, lucky g*t ). So growbag is reasonable, but 4 bars and badging?

AOPA is not responsible, it's the 3Rs.......

Sweet Jesus!

Someone buy those two a mirror, that Top Gun look is so 1987. I have to wear the Bolivian Admiral's kit for work. Sometimes I have to wear a flight suit, I wouldn't wear either to an awards ceremony, I once left my weekend toy at work where one of our engineers was going to do some work on it. Went away for a week, came back and flew her home. The p*** taking I endured for getting out of a Condor in full kit with hat, flight case and suitcase outside the flying club took a lot of living down.

Dressing like Maverick and Goose is not normal.

It was the contrast with the first and second prizewinners' attire (in another photo) that caught my attention.

Did you know...?

Condoms come in various colours and embellishments, designed to enhance the experience and gratification of wearer and partner.

Being in a uniformed emergency service i have to wear black trousers, white shirt with epaulette loops and a black clip on tie (because we aren't capable of doing knots). On a occasion when doing my PPL I'd go straight from work. I'd take my epaulettes off in the hope people wouldn't notice. My instructor, young enough to be my son (!) would be flying in jeans and tee shirt and I must admit to feeling a bit of a fraud when wandering round other club houses as people would aways assume our roles were the reverse of the truth.

(Cool story bro?)

I do always wear cotton or wool long sleeve shirts, trousers and undies when flying having seen the effect of burning synthetics on skin and hair (! again) at work...

Probably. But I find cars a bit 1 dimensional so in my view are the means to get you to the airport where I can enjoy all three dimensions 😎

Looking at the picture above from blue up, some questions occur to me.

What is the incidence of head injuries in light aircraft accidents? Would wearing a helmet in a light aircraft be realistic from a safety point of view? Or even in a standard road car?

But, from now on, I shall always wear a penis gourd.

Biffo;

Penis gourds are great idea. However there is a problem getting them in 2XL size. If you find any let me know, my last one split some time ago. 👨*✈️

Mrs Maxred said that some years ago. Only on Saturdays now

Apparently that's a known problem with mostly empty gourds with high internal humidity.

Touché. I shall retire wounded, but not fatally, because I can't think of a single witty response!

So there we have it. A PPL wearing nothing but a penis gourd is perfectly acceptable. Whereas a PPL wearing epaulettes is not.

Transair, take note.

But I foresee a problem: 'See him over there? Four gold rings on his penis gourd...'
