Above The Clouds,
Great link. I wonder if the driver of the yellow "Follow Me" truck was aware he was risking life and limb.

I'm disappointed in you, JS.
How could you repeat such scurrilous gossip on here?
What do you think this is .. a Rumour Network?
Anyway, that's more worthy of that crowd down the corridor .. the Most Venerated Order of Vengeful Vigilantes.
They're willing to believe anything that'll further their cause, you know.
We, here, in the Ignoble Company of Witch-Hunters, are bound by our charter of Inconvenient Truths, Inevitable Justice and ...
Just another one while we're being flippant...
I couldn't help but notice in that first pic posted by Above The Clouds in #885 that the operator of that unfortunate Robbie (RIP) at Goodwood goes by the name "Phoenix".
Now, in that 'attempted take-off' from Winslow, where was she headed? .. That's right, Phoenix.
I must go consult my soothsayer.

Steve Taylor and Richard Hood are also on my list of top display pilots initailly flying Pitts Specials etc and more recently Giles 202. Steve also flew with the roaring 40s for a while.
Kieth Trillo is also an ex Pitts pilot who used to display the Fokker triplane relica for a while.

For the benefit of anyone who has not seen or heard of the Roaring 40s, have a look at this:
Turn the volume up to 11.
Turn the volume up to 11.
Apparently the record for driving a car from Cape Town to London is about 10 days (two drivers, not solo).
That sounds like much more of a challenge than taking four times as long in a device which can cruise faster, over shorter straighter distances, with less traffic and environment risk.

Above The Clouds (#885),
and your:
This shows the prop 'intacta'. Compared: (set up zoomed-in #864 pic on "Internet Explorer" and #885 pic on "Google Chrome"); not at all sure about the (prop) cylinder being knocked off now, more "pushed in", as it were.
Amen to my last words (above) to Stanwell ! In 'way over my head' now. (Hoists white flag and quits the field, baffled) .

...Ah, thank you, Detective-Superintendent Danny (Forensic Branch).
Hopefully a techie with Hamilton-Standard knowledge will notice this and give us a steer....

My earlier #877 refers. Had a look at second pic (#864) of the prang. Zoomed in as far as possible, and got out trusty magnifying glass (my eyesight is not what it once was !)
Cylinder seems to have been broken off. (piston visible) But bob on this side appears to be "in", and the inner third of both the prop blades seem to be in "coarse" position.
There will be engineer hydraulic prop experts reading this. Comment ?...

That picture was tweeted by her 30 Apr 2016. https://mobile.twitter.com/biplanebi...20764497727489
Thanks for finding it Jay, but for the record do you know when it was taken, and where? Was it definitely after the flight?
(I'm of course referring to that backdrop with the claim of her being alone in the aircraft, the one she cannot remove from cyberspace).

You may joke about that Katamarino but you have hit the nail on the head.
The UK Royal Family are not normally available to do selfies with members of the public.
However Prince Michael has been very keen to support Tracey Curtis Taylor.
Not one but many pictures together.
My information is that the Masters Medal was a done deal before she left the UK.
Prince Michael is a major supporter of TCT and takes an interest in the HCAP.
Indeed Ewald and Tracey have dined with him and his wife.
The HCAP knew what she was up to but google Robert Marshall,Tracey Curtis Taylor,Bee House,Marshalls aerospace and Boeing to get the full story.
The press has been manipulated to paint her in a hero role.
There are many UK aviation journalists writing for magazines but not one has been brave enough to file a post here on pprune.
The two major GA magazines are more concerned about future advertising than the truth.
The one magazine with a forum locked any discusion on this topic weeks ago.
So look at these pictures and ask yourself why has Prince Michael allowed himself to be used by TCT?
for more info google Prince Michael and Princess Pushy.

In reply to post 886....The Light Aviation Association gave her the Bill Woodham Navigation Award on the basis she flew across Africa solo using a basic panel. This picture makes the award a joke but the chief exec Steve Slater continues his silence.
Not surprising as he is also a member of the Honourable Company of Air Pilots and has a brief to address PR.
As does Peter Benn who issued the second rewritten Masters Medal award.
We have never heard from Chris Ford who wrote the original letter.
How hard was it to fly Africa in nice weather with this panel?

Birds of a feather perhaps, observing that Prince Michael wears wings in both naval and army uniforms, despite having completed no formal flying training that I have seen recorded.

- I've posted here several times
- The last TCT thread that I can find remains open
…of course we are interested in the truth, I don't know why you are so happy to lie about me though?

Jay,
I rarely post on here, but there is a certain irony in your, at best, distortion of the truth, and, at worst, outright lies about the position taken by Ian Seager of Flyer magazine.
Personally, I think you have a point about TCT although I don't truthfully understand why it is such a total obsession with you. However, when you keep defaming someone who many of us believe to be an honourable man you simply put yourself in the same box as TCT - a slightly sad self promoter who is far too fond of the sound of your own voice.
At least TCT got some interesting flying out of her misrepresentations.
Paul.

I was merely pointing out that there has been little or no engagment on here from the UK GA press and writers and was not pointing a finger at any one person.
I certainly did not mention Ian.
However he closed the first TCT strand down on the other side following Sam Rutherford and Jetblu's posts and indeed put me on pre moderated posting.
It is thanks to the Daily Mail that the general public know the truth.
The pictures of the technology in the cockpit few posts ago underlines the LAA award is a disgrace.
However she continues to receive so called awards.
Accusing me of obsession with exposing TCT's charade is just shooting the messenger.
If you don't want to read this strand go elsewhere.
The thread is now heading for 120,000 page views and over 900 posts.
Pprune is a global forum and there is plenty of interest in this topic.

I understand helo operators certainly do these days - any time word gets out that she's around.
I also like a small detail in the 'report submitted by the pilot' - she started the engine before beginning to taxy. ... Hmmm.
