Oops Reds RA(T) bust

About 20 mins into their display at Old Warden today, a helicopter bimbled through the zone. Clearly visible from the crowd. He was about 3 miles south and travelling east to west. I guess that will be tea,no biscuits with the CAA then . The display was stopped for about 5 mins whist he cleared the area. The Reds first display of the season, I know we all make mistakes, but there was little excuse for this one.

A colleague was fined £2K and costs 6 or 7 years ago for zact same thing!

A DfT consultation recently closed where the fine for breach of the ANO would be increased to unlimited, so that then the court could fine according to the pilots means and also the impact of the offending. 9 Hawks delayed for 5 minutes - call it equivalent of operating one aircraft for an hour - according to Hansard at 2011 price is £6000.
