Pprune fly in

Are we going to have another shot at one sometime being as sumer is icuming? Somewhere mid country for everyone? Or maybe meet up at an event, one of Old Warden's displays or the like? It's cold war jet day at Bruntingthorpe on the 24th May, that's nice and noisy.

Edit: Or split it between a north and south fly in? Us Northerners could meet at say Breighton?

What a great idea, then we can all slug out the circuit joining procedures in real life

I feel sure that the good people of Breighton would be happy to host such an event.

Just drop an email to Davski at: [email protected]

Doesn't have to be hosted as such MJ, we've had two already, one at Sherburn and the other at Leicester. Other than letting the airfield know that half a dozen a/c would be turning up and fuel requirements etc there's not a lot else to be done.

I'm happy to do Breighton by the way but do they open the sheds on a normal Sat/Sun? For first timers it's quite an impressive walk round.

Why not have one down in the Far SW

We are always having to travel upcountry. Come on down and see us for a change. Dunkeswell is a really friendly base with a decent restaurant

Hence the suggested North/South split.

See how many folk are interested first. Do I need to put in a GAR for Dunkeswell?

When you are in the Far SW, the idea of a north/south split is often irrelevant.

We can be in Blackpool as quickly as we can be at Rochester

In the interests of fairness then, how about everyone saying where they are flying from then we can pick a reasonable midway spot. Unless you're flying in from Lerwick in which case all bets are off.

Peter/Dunkeswell.
