PA 28 with motogas
Hello,
I am considering the option with converting Piper Cherokee 140 to Pb98. Is it worth it? Does anyone use aircraft with such a conversion? I am afraid about the higher value of fuel burn rate. How does it look like?

Use of mogas in most Lycoming and Continentals is restricted to:
- max 1% ethanol
- max fuel temperature of 20 degrees Celcius
- max operating altitude of 6000ft
If you operate mogas outside these conditions you're not flying according to the POH and therefore not insured. There is a higher risk of vapor lock.

Is Pb98 leaded? Is it from filling stations or an airfield tank?
Your Polish motor fuel may differ from other states. Unleaded EN228 EU specification is used in Lycoming and Continental engines - but the fuel system also affects it. Check for STC availability in the US for your specific model to find if it is possible.
UK limitation is as stated, with "carb icing more likely". We've used mogas with a Continental O-200 on a low wing aircraft for years with no problems and great savings. You have to check each purchase for alcohol, and here many areas no longer have alcohol-free fuel.
