Save Southend Airshow
Hi all,
Flying, as I do, primarily out of Southend the flying club to which I belong has a long relationship with the Southend Airshow. This was scrapped by the council in 2013 and there is a campaign to try and save it and get it back on for this year.
It always provided a little bit of a boost to the local clubs (and not just at Southend) and I believe was generally positive for GA, even if that wasn't its primary aim.
If you do feel like supporting the campaign they have a Facebook page, which you can just "like" or if you feel strongly enough they have a charity giving page provided by Help For Heroes.
If you do donate and the airshow doesn't go ahead, the money donated will be split between 5 charities. (Full details provided on the Facebook page).
