Flying in North Yorks....

Hello,

I have a 50th Birthday to fly to near Pickering, North Yorks. Looking at the 1/2 Mil, options look like Fadmoor and Wombelton. Anybody been to either recently or any other options nearby?
Plane will be an Arrow T so nothing too short with suggestions please.

Many thanks IMC

Been to Fadmoor. Two grass runways with quite steep inclines both easily doable in your a/c, the farmer who owns it gets a twin in and out. If you look at Pooleys there's a runway cross section. Worth ringing first as it can get soggy on the taxiways.

Incidentally there's a great pub with decent tucker called the Royal Oak in nearby Gillamoor.
