Cyprus - Griffon / Tomahawk Aviation / ?
Hi,
I read the threads about Cyprus and these schools but does anybody have fresh information? I did my first lesson with Griffon two days ago. The owner and instructor (Chris) were nice and professional. The plane... had rusty bolts and a bolt missing. I don't know anything (yet) about planes but if it was my CAR, I would not use it and sell it. I know that all the planes are services in Larnaca. Should I trust the level of maintenance here?
The reason I want to do the training here (as a hobby, I'm not planning on being a professional) is that I want to combine it with a long vacation and I love Ayia Napa which is just 30 minutes from Larnaca airport.
Any recommendations / insight?
Thanks

"Lesson time" not one hour due to air traffic - normal?
Here in Cyprus if you need to wait 20 minutes to get off, you only fly for 40 minutes. If you need to wait 40 minutes, your air time will be 20 minutes. Is that normal? Is this how it goes anywhere in the world?
Thanks
