Olympics football airspace restrictions start today

Just a quick reminder that some of the small, short time period, airspace restrictions over the Olympics football grounds start today - including Glasgow, Coventry and Cardiff. Full details in the full airspace guide here London 2012 Airspace - Downloads

I'm sure this is a naive question.

Looking at the Glasgow / Hampden NOTAM, the RA(T) can be entered into with ATC Clearance from Glasgow. Hampden is already inside Glasgow CTR Class D so you need ATC clearance anyway to go there.

So whats the point of the RA(T)? To help with planning as Glasgow Approach aren't likely to give you clearance through it?
