One thing which I find quite useful is to look at the airfield and general surroundings on google earth. Even fly a circuit this way!

This is a good idea. Worth doing before your trip to Earls Colne as it isn't easy to spot; however there's a golf course to the south which makes things easier if you know it's there.

Enjoy your trip there, the tarmac runway is quite narrow which makes things interesting!
