Converting Spanish PPL into a UK PPL

Hi guys,

My friend wants to convert his spanish PPL into a UK PPL. Is this going to be difficult or is it just paperwork? He has only got 45 hours total.

Thanks for your help

Where does he live? AFAIK to change issuing state you need to live in the one you are changing to. Does not apply if you do your license from scratch, i.e. a Spaniard living in Spain can do a CAA license.

Why would he want to do that? Both are JAR (and soon EASA) licenses, there's nothing to gain from a change.

Complete the application form assuming he complies with Section 6 as mentioned above. He may have to qualify for a UK FRTOL as well!
