Scenic shots

Inspired by the VMC on top thread is anyone interested in showing their scenic shots? After all, the views are a large reason we fly.

Here are a few I took last summer on a flight around Yorkshire, they are 'point and hope' so excuse the quality. Marks if you can identify the locale.

Lake Simcoe (north of Toronto)

All the boat wakes in the sun, on Lake Simcoe

My own wake in the fog. A bit dnagerous, but I've always wanted to do that!

Short final into my home runway in the fog. It's longer than it looks!

Nice thread!

And the 'Above Cloud' one, too. All your pics are stunning. Between us, I'm sure we'd have enough to compile a coffee table book of pPrune adventures

Any shot with a big radial is scenic. San Carlos Lake east of Phoenix taken from B25 "Barbie 111" out of Falcon field Mesa.

LAX. Sorry. Not exactly scenic. Why do we need an ash cloud before this is permitted.

A few dreamy ones.

Wow... great pictures guys! Was particularly amazed at that picture of the plane's wake in the fog - awesome!

Here are some photos I've collected over the years from my flying around my home - Malta... enjoy

Flybymike,
I agree. You would not believe how small the meteor was that made such a big hole.
I was the silly b***** who drove for miles to see it when a 20 minute detour a couple of days earlier could have got an aerial photo.
What's more the Eagles song "Take it easy" glamourises the town. Of Winslow in a way it does not deserve.
