IMC v AOPA wings Radio nav course

Hi could any one please offer me some advice on the IMC v the AOPA Radio navigation course. I believe the AOPA one counts towards the IR hours and im not 100% on the costing of both. Does any one have suggestions on which may be more useful to me.

Many thanks

It would appear that the radio nav course is suited towards the original UK (ie. non-JAA) CAA PPLs which have never had any radio nav training before.

Neither IMC or radio nav will go towards the hours for the current JAA IR. However radio nav hours will go towards the hours for the IMCR.

In addition, IMCR hours will go towards the new EASA IR when it comes into play.

The AOPA RNAV certificate hours count towards the IMCr hours allowing you to do the IMCr in a modular manner should you choose.
