Cessna hits police helo

Came across this from a few days ago, seems some guy was flying marijuana from Paraguay to Argentina when he was spotted by a new radar system. When the police went to intercept he refused to comply and eventually rammed them . Anyway, it looks as though everyone was ok.

Not sure how to add a link but a brief report is here; ASN Aircraft accident 06-AUG-2011 Cessna 210L Centurion ZP-TIH

and you can search on the registration number too of course: ZP-TIH

No victims among Gendarmes in the helicopter, who came down aprox. 500 m from de Cessna with it´s tail rotor broken.
Tail rotor looks like only part of their problem.

DancingOnTheCeiling,

Nothing in the ASN description, nor the Larazon article says the plane "rammed" the helicopter.

According to this article, when the helicopter's "persuasive manoeuvres" did not work, it approached the Cessna in an "intimidatory task", which resulted in the aircraft "brushing" each other.

Santiago del Estero: un helicóptero derribó una avioneta con drogas - lanacion.com *

The title says the helicopter downed the Cessna.

Or perhaps the tail rotor was just the start of their problem!

Bloody things are over our town all hours of the night. Wonder what the guy would want to move to north Kent...

On the other hand, wonder what it would take for me to move to north Devon.

"Nothing in the ASN description, nor the Larazon article says the plane "rammed" the helicopter"

although one of the articles I read does - Narcoavión paraguayo choca en el aire con helicóptero argentino :: LA NUEVA RGS 94.3 Fm. Palorubin.com

"In a desperate maneuver, the pilot Jose Feliciano Martinez Benitez decided to ram his ship to the Argentine helicopter, in a move described by local authorities as 'movie' "
