Revalidate SEP class rating on Irish license

Hi
I have I Irish license due to the fact that I work for a Irish company that requires me to have it. My Single Engine Piston Classrating is about to expire, and I don't have those 12 hours within the last 12 months required. Therefore I have to do a Proficiency Check.

I live and work in a Scandinavian country, I understand that any approved examiner from any full JAA member state can conduct this check. Anyone here that know what kind of paperwork IAA will require? I guess the examiner just enter the new details in my license, and then send the PC form to IAA?

Anyone with experience from this? Guess there is a lot of pilots in europe with irish licenses who has renewed their SEP ratings with PCs? Tried to reach the IAA for some days but seems a bit tough to get through, maybe it's easier to get some information here.

Thanks in Advance

I'm in a more or less similar situation: UK issued JAR-FCL PPL, but living in the Netherlands.

Either after a reval by experience, or after a License Proficiency Check, I simply let the *examiner* (has to be an examiner, an instructor is not sufficient) annotate the SEP class rating that's part of the license documents, and I let him fill in the UK SRG\1119 form (number from memory, might be wrong but that's not relevant in this case - you'll need the corresponding *Irish* form).

I also make a copy of his examiners authorization, and send that along with the SRG\1119 form to the UK CAA.

In your case I would expect you need to do the same. Download the proper *Irish* forms, let the Swedish examiner fill these in after the reval by experience or LPC, and send them, along with a copy of his/her examiners authorization, to the Irish authorities. And let that Swedish examiner annotate your SEP class rating documents, which are part of your license documentation.

Ring Simon White at the IAA and check with him. I have revalidated a few Irish licences and they all had to be signed by the IAA though they were happy to accept the UK SRG 1119 with the details.

The IAA accepting the UK SRG\1119 form? That's mighty nice of them.

I managed to get in contact with IAA today. They were happy to accept the form from my state. In addition they also wanted the examiners license and his Examiner Authorization. And also he could write the renewal in my license. Thanks for the help!
