Class 2 medical expiry - 40th birthday?

Class 2 medical expiry - 40th birthday?
My class 2 medical was carried out on 31 May 2007 and my old medical expired on 14 Jun 2007, so my current medical is valid until 14 Jun 2012. However, I am 40 in a couple of weeks' time.
I see that once I am 40 I will be on a biennial renewal.
Does that mean my current medical continues to be valid as above, or do I need a new medical once I am 40? And similarly, do I need to do an ECG now or can that wait until next year, too? (I've only had an ECG once, on my initial medical ten years ago).

Small print on the bottom of mine:
"A certificate issues prior to the holder's 40th birthday will not be valid for class 2 privileges after the 42nd birthday".
So it expires either at 5 years after the last medical, or your 42nd birthday - whichever happens first.

Your medical will remain valid until the stated date (ie June 2012). From that point you will need biennial medicals/ECG's etc.
You should also therefore gain a "free" year when you hit 50 in 2021 - assuming renewal every 2 years your medical will be valid till 2022, thereafter you will need annual medicals to reflect your official old git status
