It's a great aeroplane if you love big, powerful, aerobatic craft of great character.
A few things to check are:
a) Engine mainteneance - has it been done to schedule, is a major o'haul due?
b) Has the 'spar mod' been done?
c) When is prop o'haul due?
Not much else. It's an enthusiast's machine. It requires a certain amount of TLC, especially to avoid hydraulic locks in the engine. It is 'different' to western types - but immense fun.
V. good article in March 'Pilot' about living with a '52 ;~)
