Headset Services at Shoreham advise me they knew nothing about this recall. They do now... They say they have no parts and don't expect to have any before sometime in December.
From Bose's guarded description of the issue, it may be they placed some electrolytic or tantalum capacitors backwards. Such reversed caps usually last quite a long time. It depends on the temperature and the voltage applied. Could be months or years. They can also catch fire, when they finally go.
