Talking Anyone ever fly into Plymouth?

Hiya all.

I am a 16 year old 50 hour PPL trainee based at plymouth and I was wondering if anyone ver visits there as it always seems to be empty?

If you do, you think there might be a spare seat next time,??

Thans very much, oh, and I would be willing to work for that seat by the way, hehe

Rusty

Sorry, just put up a prickly response to your obviously well meaning offer of help in the IMC thread... I really don't like Flyer rag.

Just for that I had better nip down to Plymouth and, if you like, we'll have a thrash in the Pup... with 50 hours of recent instruction you'll probably be able to fly her more accurately than me!

Sorry mate but I do think Flyer is lightweight, a bit like "Groundforce" in gardening, all tits and no action I suppose.

What inspired me to have a dig was your posting... instead of offering a constructive statement you said "buy my November magagzine for the answer and line my pocket some more"... not what I personally want from this forum.

I'll climb down from my soap box now and get back to planning my trip to Plymouth.

Hi Beagler
To be honest, If I'd been at work when I posted I would have just cut and pasted the news item, I really wasn't trying to sell another copy.
Could you email me your address, I'd like to send you a couple of recent copies and get your feedback. Have a good trip to Plymouth.
Ian

Rusty,

I have a few pals down in the South West and a visit is overdue so I'll let you know.

Not to sure about the "honour" bit though... just don't tell the others about any ropey flying I might get up to

Sorry about highjacking your thread (or should it be FRED?), I'll take up my duel with I.S. elsewhere

Second attempt at this posting, so apologies if I look like I'm repeating myself, not that senile yet.

Rusty... sorry about hi-jacking your thread, I'll respond to IS elsewhere.

And I was serious, I have friends in the South West and a trip is overdue.
Not too sure about the "honour" bit though, lets get the flying done first!

This is my 3rd attempt to post this so if the previous 2 suddenly appear, don't worry, I haven't gone barmy and started repeating myself, and started repeating myself, and started...

Rusty,
I have some friends down your way and a pre- Christmas visit is on the cards so I'll give you a shout.
Not too sure about the "honour" bit, I suggest that you sample the goods first.

Sorry about hi-jacking your thread so I'll put my reply to I.S. elsewhere

Hope this one works!

Question

Has anyone else had this problem?
Posting simply disappears in spite of being acknowledged, then appears 12-24 hours later.

I am asking because I think that my modem is iffy and the problem might be at my end.

Here goes...

Beagler,

Yes, I find you sometimes need to Refresh to get recent posts, your own and sometimes others too. I asked about it on the Computer Forum and got an answer I didn't understand! It's only been happening since the last time they updated things, changed the logo and so on. Anyway, clicking on Refresh - sometimes twice - does work.
