CW who do you know selling a Wot and for how much?
Wizzy, I'm living in Harpenden for once close to the airfield where my Cub is (Rush Green nr Luton). If I bought another plane, I'd like to base it there. It's not too far around the Great Car Park (M25) from the Heathrow area.

I have it on good authority that there may be an available share in G-USTY Fred at Netherthorpe. The aircraft will remain there. All being well the aircraft should be up and about in the next couple of weeks or so.
Try ringing Sheffield Aero Club (Edit: 01909 475233) and ask to be put in touch with Bill Cawrey who will no doubt be pleased to give you more info.
From what I know, the costs of this type of aircraft are about as low as they go, with a performance to match.
Alternatively, there is a Luton Minor currently advertised for sale on the SAC notice board at 6500 pounds, I don't have the reg no. but it is in good flying condition. This aircraft has the vintage (JAP?) horizontal twin engine from what I can remember and is probably unique. (A VW engined version would have less character, probably a lot more oomph and possibly be much cheaper / easier for spare parts although I may be talking out of turn as this is not really my forte).
Hope this is of help.

100LL Sorry I can't remember the regs of the FRED and LUTON MINOR for sale at Netherthorpe but neither of them is G-AZHC.
G-AZHC is a Jodel D112 belonging to another group at Netherthorpe and is extremely well travelled. It does however share a hangar with the Luton and Fred when its not flying.
