Got to know him in my time working for LFS, very sad news, a great bloke! My thoughts go out to family and friends at this very sad time.

I had a drink with Chris last Thursday, and saw him as he came out of the sim on Friday; the world will be a poorer place for his passing.

Great bloke, I shall remember him from LFS/Sherburn for stories of pub crawls on a horse and cart. A true yorkshireman, si' thee.

My sincere condolence to his family.

Chris was a true gent and it showed in his enthusiasm and passion for flying.

Totally shocked by this very sad news.

I will never forget his positive and helpful approach to teaching aviation to students and fellow pilots. My condolences and thoughts are with the family.

There is an ITV report of the accident including brief video footage here: Yorkshire Regional News | Calendar - ITV Local

Chris was a great all round bloke and outstanding pilot who had yet to achieve his prime. A sad loss to aviation and his very many friends. RIP my friend, it was a pleasure and privilege to have known you.
