Firenze apt for GA flight?
have anyone been recently in Aeroport di Firenze and can share an experience?
from what they write on the website (PPR) they are quite busy and maybe you can recommend some other GA friendly APT nearby?
do they have an Avgass?

With Italy especially, you must contact the airport directly, because printed airport guides are full of **** regarding stuff like avgas availability. Ask them if they sell avgas to visiting foreign aircraft. Lots of Italian airports have avgas but only for locals.

I flew a Pitts in there a few years ago and it was not a problem at all. Although the traffic has increased, from what I have seen I do not believe that they are that busy. Sienna is a good alternative. I haven't flown into Lucca but have heard it is OK. Arezzo is a nice welcoming airfield but a bit of a trek from Florence
