Sardinia Tourist Tax

Just keeping up to date on my tax, I came across the following on the tourist tax in Sardinia that might be of interest.

The tax was mentioned on here previously becuase it affected those who are not resident in Sardinia, but wished to land in Sardinia with their own aircraft or boat.

It was just Italians being Italian.

I refused point blank to pay it each year I visited on the grounds that it was not legal, and although I was threatened with having the vessel impounded, the customs never did anything. Each time the tax amounted to €10,000.
They new that they were trying it on. Lying, thieving, b'sterds. Glad the ECJ showed them to be so.

One of the good things about a TB20 is that it has enough range to never need to land in Italy.
