Pleasant stops in Western Germany

Any one here have any recommendations for Fuel stops (Jet A) and Lunch in Western Germany, close to the Dutch/Belgian Borders? (North Rhine-Westphalia?)

Perhaps somewhere with a nice hotel nearby?
(bonus points for Fuel, and hotel with own airfield!)

Eastern Holland could also work.

Depends what you're flying and the level of facilities you want.

I like Muenster-Osnnabrueck EDDG. It has all the facilities of an international airport (including a Cat III ILS at each end and permanent customs), but a fee of less than EUR 20 for < 2 tons (+ usual DFS ATC terminal charge). The main terminal is a bit of a trudge from the GAT, but there are restaurants a short taxi ride away in Ladbergen -- but I can't actually find the one I visited and liked a few years ago.

Dahlemer Binz is a great little place in the German Ardennes, with beautiful wooded area around, good tarmac runway, glider activity and glider community

Dahlemer Binz is a great little place
And another vote for Dahlemer Binz from me. One of the best GA airfields in Germany and ideally located for this flight.

Id recommend Statdlhon Vreden (EDLS). We stopped there enroute to Berlin in 2008. Its just inside Germany near the Dutch border.

Friendly welcome, fuel and restaurant. Dont know about accomodation but Im sure they could help sort something out locally.

Willkommen auf der Dahlemer Binz!

Wild Boar if you shoot it yourself but there is always:

The old Strammer Max
The well known Apfel Strudel
The filling Ungarische Gulash Suppe

And of course dze Maedels......

So far, in terms of incentives, Flyingmac is leading the pack...

Wild boar! Worth a trip just on its own for that
