I guess the actual runway work is finished then? If there's a 5 day delay to get the CAA inspector up why couldn't they be notified a week before as it all went according to plan? Or maybe it's bureaucracy and you're only allowed to put a request in once the work is done

Just called Sandtoft. Runway being inspected this afternoon. Hopefully up and running tomorrow

Just had an E-Mail from Sandtoft, the CAA have given their blessing and the runway opened last Friday the 11th of December.

Business as usual.

It certainly is open. Seven of us (planes, 15 people) went there from Sturgate and had a great lunch. Doncaster were a bit overawed at the stream of traffic heading into their air space.

Yup i flew there yesterday & been up again today

Left my wheel marks on the runway.

Truly excellent work by all concerned,Sandtoft is one of my favourite destinations,been in there countless times.Very much looking forward to another visit soon.Great food too!
