Cessna 206 Rating and Training in USofA
Guys guys guys,
Help me out here, I'm looking to get rated on the 206 early next year and as cheaply as possible.
Does anybody know any Clubs or Schools with one (preferably with Pressure Instruments, No Glass Cockpit please) on the USA, or for that matter in the UK?
Cheers
Chris

You only get "type rated" in an aircraft with a MTOW of 12,500lbs or more in the US. Otherwise, its a checkout plus whatever the insurance require for minimum hours.
As for where to find one? Try looking up the faa.gov aircraft registration database, go to the listings of C206s, see if you can find any companies who operate them commercially and try contacting them to see if they will give you a checkout.
I've never seen a C206 available at a flight school, but I could be wrong.
