NPPL Changes

Can anyone advise me what is happening at the end of June 2009 to NPPLs..? I have been made aware if you do not change to comply with certain changes, you will be flying illegally..
I can find NOTHING on the CAA website..
AOPA gives a link but that doesnt work..
I hold a NPPL but have a UK PPL which is running in the background of my NPPL,but I have not done a UK PPL medical since doing the local GP ones in accordance with NPPL regs..
Anyone help at all plse..?
Thanks..

The thread seems to have been the victim of a bit of "A Bit Mad In The Head, Ted" moderator movement from Private Flying, since one would assume that the Instructors are aware of the changes, and the thread was intended for this parish.

Try the AIS website its all in an AIC: http://www.nats-uk.ead-it.com/aip/cu...8_W_030_en.pdf
There is a further well hidden doccument here: http://www.caa.co.uk/docs/175/AN%20A...%2000%2000.pdf
If you hold a valid PPL you should be OK. Put simply, you will need a valid C of T C of E or C of R for each Class on the NPPL, no more rolling validity.

In simple terms, the old NPPL with a rolling validation of 13 months will expire on 29th JUNE.....NOT LONG TO GO !!! BEFORE THIS DATE :

You need to fly with an instructor/ CFI(PPL or Microlight) ,LAA Coach, CRI/CRE and do a 1 hour flight check and get them to sign your log book and licence to the new 24 month 12hr period( make sure that the are allowed to sign your licence, i.e an examiner.)

Failing to do this will require you to do a licence revalidation test.

Will.
