Renting to fly across USA

Hi

Im thinking of renting a PA28/172 and building up some hours by flying across part of the USA. I'd be interested to hear from anyone who has done the same and any tips etc.

Also any recommendations of where to rent from would be good.

Id prefer not to fly from Florida as im more interested in flying over the mid to west side.

Try...

Southern California, Nevada and Arizona in a circular route. Some stunning scenery and some challenging airports. More character than Florida.

Various rental outfits will be able to assist, I'm sure others will chirp up.

been there and done that, both from the FL side and also from LA. What info do you need to know? You would obviously have to take the a/cback to its base. nOt sur enĦhomw many hours youplan to puton the clock but California, Nevada and Arizona are big states and that will take up to at least 50 hrs just to fly all over them!

let me know

Why not fly into Vegas? Flights form the UK to Vegas are a bargain at the moment.

You can rent a plane from one of the places at North Las Vegas airport and from there do the Grand Canyon, over to San Diego, maybe up the coast to Los Angeles?
