Cool

How about you wait until you can put your question unambiguously before setting yourself up as some sort of god?

Better to keep your mouth shut and be thought a fool than open it and remove the doubt, eh?

You may wish to rephrase the quesion, clarifying the class of airspace involved and what you mean by "ATC". You'd be surprised at how many people use ATC as a catch-all to describe anyone operating a radio on the ground.

But let's assume you're talking about an airport in Class D. Yes, you need to inform then where you're going because a flight plan is mandatory in Class D airspace. This requirement can however be satisfied over the radio, or by "booking out" over the telephone beforehand. If you want to do circuits on your return you stand a better chance if you ask beforehand, but there's no rule that says you can't suddenly pipe up on short final and say "mind if I make it a touch and go, then do a few circuits?".

Can the next question be about flying VFR on top in France, or whether piggy-back FAA license holders legally need BFRs?

a. Hopefully never as they should outlast the airframe. In contrast, Cessna bladder type tanks should be changed, what, every five to fifteen years?
b. At most fields: not enough. Particularly not at weekends. Even worse if you need Jet-A. (Yes, there are some Thielert engines still flying...)

Generally ATC means Air Traffic Control, And also as the Top question states PPLs in training and qualified normally means the obvious VFR Flying..

As for you Frontlefthamster, You sound as silly as your name to be honest and all I was doing was asking a question to start off a different thread, if you dont want to answer then I suggest you go back to flying your microlight, Drill of the day questions normally come up at flying schools whether your trained or not to test your air knowledge.
Switch on Lofty!!!

Bose - well said.

While I think there's a lot to be said for some form of military style "emergency of the day" in GA, this isn't really the place for it. Well, not in this form, anyway!

Its not what you ask it is the way you do it.......

Learn to phrase the question correctly and clearly and with less arrogance. You might get some flesh left on your bones........ You would be surprised at the experience of people on here and the lack of tolerance for fools.........

Well fellas I havent come on here to be arrogant, Just to ask a few questions. I have put it in the PPL part and not the Commercial incase there are any experienced people out there who tend to whinge when it comes to asking a question. I do find it strange about the experience though because no-one cant answer the questions correctly as they Do Not know obviously, If your not in it Don't play it! Simple as that rather than moaning!!!

Some of you really need to do some growing up, and you all want to be budding pilots in the industry, God help us!!!

I am just off to work right now and when I get back in the morning I want to see a couple of good reasons why this thread shouldn't be locked...

Ha Ha This is an absoloute joke/farce from a moderators mouth too!!!!

I am just rolling about the floor with a big cheesy grin on my face can't stop laughing hang on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

From trying to be air brained for the budding PPls that want questions thrown at them, so why should it be locked???

Lock it for all I care and ban me if you want too (I will just register as someone else!), I might just write to the newspapers just to show what an idiotic site this really is, and like I have been warned by fellow Airline pilots that I work with as there is so many bull rumours that get spoken about on this website by an utter bunch of, well you know what I'm going to say!!! They were exactly correct!!! What a complete load of pants!!
Well I have nothing to worry about as I have made my dream. Just would not like to work alongside someone that hasn't got any bottle. From myself being ex military, If I ever meet you alongside me in the cockpit of an A320 or elesewhere I will suss you out straight away and maybe give you l small kicking to make you into a man!

Can't be arsed with pansies that want to be flying aircraft for a living, get some bottle in you!!!

Fascinating. I've never seen a troll implode that quickly before. 5 posts from initial submission to forum suicide. Must be some kind of record.

Devil

so why should it be locked???
You have had two serious answers from 17 posts.

for the budding PPls that want questions thrown at them
The guys who have answered are very experienced ppl's. Which brings me on to......

and you all want to be budding pilots in the industry, God help us!!!
Again the guys who have answered don't!

All that aside I see it as an excellent thread if it could continue as a Q&A session without the bull thrown in. It would be good if it actually worked.....

I might just write to the newspapers just to show what an idiotic site this really is,
Feel free. We work closely with some of the media. Often after an incident they come and ask for advice what to write. A huge step compared to years ago when they just used to make most of it up.

just to show what an idiotic site this really is, and like I have been warned by fellow Airline pilots that I work with as there is so many bull rumours that get spoken about on this website by an utter bunch of, well you know what I'm going to say!!! They were exactly correct!!! What a complete load of pants!!
If it is that bad a site then why are you posting these questions on here and why are you getting worked up about it. If it is that bad simply go somewhere else, simple logic really.

If I ever meet you alongside me in the cockpit of an A320 or elesewhere I will suss you out straight away and maybe give you l small kicking to make you into a man!
??????

So, after reading your little rant, we are an "Idiotic site" and you then threaten me with "l small kicking to make you into a man!". Why on earth do you expect me to keep this thread open and not ban you after the outburst above. Go play somewhere else.

The real question for the ppl bank is why the person defending the new, aggressive poster cant understand it is obvious when they are both posting from the same connection?

If expedite and bluenose stepped forward at the same time they'd fall over.

Reregistering trolls only provide further amusement for the troops. Looking forward to the searing news expose though. However, I'd be grateful if you could make sure our names and the url linking readers to this pathetic site are accurate though.
