Purchasing an N Reg throughTrust or LLC
First of all, I've been through the search forum and no result so here I am.
I wish to own and operate an N Reg outside the USA, can anyone advise me on the requirements to register ownership to the FAA?
I understand the ownership can be an LLC or Trust but what does this effectively mean?
I am not an American citizen.
Your knowlegeable advice is requested,
Thank you
Sultan Ismail

Hi Sultan,
Only US citizens or US companies can own US registered a/c so if you are not a citizen then you will proabbly have to form a company. There are trusts/ companies offering this service and they charge anything from $1500 upwards per year to have the a/c on thier books. I have recently bought an a/c in the US and have done it this way and i pay $2000/year to the company and they take care of all the paper work. They issue you with an operators agreement which in effect is a rental contract. Though the a/c is yours because you paid ofr it it is in fact theirs on paper.
If you need anymore info or want the address of the people i use drop me a line
