aeros

hi,
I think its a RANS S-9. A strange looking single seater but very capable.
Also, I believe the video was shot in Germany, and no its not me flying it.
I fly a Yak52 and a super-cub.

Question

Hi,

Nice video's and your right it makes me want to go flying.

I have a question about the last one from OpenCirrus619 tho, are gliders exempt from the low flying rule as some of that video was very close to the ground?

Spru!

As far as I'm aware, gliders are only exempt from the 500ft rule when hill-soaring. If that's the case they're behaving like tits. Even if it's not the case, they're still behaving like tits.

love it

Yeah Great....Although I'm a "power" man, I have to admit that there is very little more beautiful and graceful as a glider doing aero's.

I saw a superb glider display at Duxford last year, part of the display he was being towed whilst doing aeros?! Then he finished off the display on his own.

I was so amazed by the whole thing the only photo I got of it was this one, and no - I didn't turn the image upside down..

Thanks for the initial vid, I am now sitting here at work staring at the sky outside and largely achieveing nothing...

There is no such thing as a "low flying rule" - the 500' rule requires a separation (vertical or horizontal) from a number of things.

As far as the comment about "behaving like tits" I am not going to bother responding to someone whose interests are "Threesomes".

A friend once took me cloud busting in his Chipmunk (no it wasn't our Chippy Forumite)

Like the first vid it was a perfick day to wheel and soar through cloud canyons. Nice

We found one cloud that looked like a mushroom with a clearly defined trunk.
It was great fun poling round it pulling about 2 G under the overhang with the vertical wall of white stuff rushing past our heads.

The we met a Cessna Aerobat coming the other way round

Not done it again since.

Go to one six right, click on "video", click on "flight".

Awesome, gonna have that at my funeral. You'll need to wait a while though...

awesome

I agree, my wife recently bought for me One Six Left "The Romance of Flying" and One Six Left "The companion DVD".
Truly marvelous ( and the films aren't bad)
