canadian homebuild reregistered in the UK or Luxembourg?

Hi,
I want to bring a canadian midget mustang to europe. Since I cannot register the plane in germany due to the law, I seek for a register in the UK or Luxembourg. I know that recently a midget mustang was imported to the UK and got permission to fly.
Any hint, tipp or help is wanted and appreciated, professional service also.
Thx,
raller

Hi

I think you need to have a look at the PFA or LAA site, try...

www.pfa.org.uk/S%20Mac%20Website/Specification%20Sheets%202007/BushbyMidMustang.pdf

for starters.

My understanding though, is that it can be a problem to fly PFA / LAA permit aircraft outside of the UK and that specific authorization is needed from the country concerned so you might have a problem if you want to take it home.

Not sure this is correct see

http://www.caa.co.uk/application.asp...regmark=G-VILL

First check whether the type is 'approved' in the UK by the PFA/LAA. If it is then half the battle is won.

If it is approved, then the issue will be whether the build standard meets the PFA requirements. This means a thorough inspection including cutting holes if required to inspect hidden parts of the structure.

Good luck.

So far so good,

thanks for the help. Since a frienf of mine is flying a UK-Registered Homebuild in germany and I already got a permit to fly the canadian Midget also here I dont see too much trouble. The Midget Mustang is also flying in the UK, see the link above. My understanding is that I now need to talk to an inspector to see what needs to be done.
