Dragons Den

Did anyone see this programme on which the MD of a proposed Seaplane company in Scotland pitched for £150K to help him set up the business (it was a repeat, so don't know when the original was screened)
Anyway, the bloke was a complete waste of space, with no business acumen whatsoever. He reckoned he was going to buy two Cessna Caravan float planes at £1.25 million each, and that he'd spent £300K of his own money so far on a Maule with floats. Now I'm not too sure of used plane prices, but I don't reckon he spent even a third of that amount on a Maule.
He was a complete tosser frankly, and was very quickly sent on his way with a flea in his ear.
Did this business ever get off the ground (or water)??

I saw the "Dragons den whare are they now" episode and instead of running a seaplane company, he was running a taxi service in rural Scotland.

The gentleman from Dragons Den is not the one running Loch Lomond Seaplanes; which, incidentally, I heard was going according to plan and theyare hoping to expand the fleet!

Thanks for that FF. Must admit thought it was as the two were so similar. Nice to see an operation like that doing well.

sea planes.

I wanted to get some assistance from Highlands and Islands Enterprise to do that 25 years ago and it was rejected, It would be an Idilic way to see Scotland and there are so many huge expances of water to land on. Seems you just have to know the right people or wear the right tie or Kilt. Good luck to them anyway so glad someone has opened up the door. How many sheep can you get in a Float Plane?
