Hour Building in UK

I have an American Commercial licence but only 350 hours. Can anyone tell me how I can build my hours in the UK without converting as I need to be in UK for family reasons.

I think you need to find an N registered aircraft, which you can then fly on your current license.

There are some around in the UK, but I don't know where......

Unless things have changed, it is perfectly acceptable to fly a G registered aircraft in the UK with an FAA licence provided you don't take it over the channel. I flew quite happily on mine until I eventually converted to a UK licence.
