Keep an eye on the CAA website
I try and avoid it as best I can, if I look at it too much it gives me a headache.

Beags - I feel the same about Gutersloh mate!

Booked in, planning to be there...... just awaiting news of the aircraft fuel pump scheduled to be changed this afternoon.... boo hoo. Wx looks OK for a change.

See you there.

Today went well from where I was sitting!

How was it for everyone else?

Looking forward to the next time,

Yes, some very interesting points were made and it was great weather for it.

Think I'd better buy one of those Pprune badges so I can be spotted by fellow forumites next time; one feels a bit stupid asking everyone if they're Gibraltar airport or not.

Yep: A great day: some repetition but mainly stuff which could do with repeating.

Flawless organisation and good company tho' I didn't spot most ppruners.

Nice to get close up and dirty with an Apache/Longbow too.

How old was that totty that was flying it???

Many thanks LXGB and pass on my best regards to Tracey and Sophie in flight planning.

Cheers

Danny and I both live within the Wattisham Matz - I was hoping to hand out the badges. Thus the original query.

Regards

Thanks for your feedback, much appreciated!

I'll pass on your comments to the rest of the team.

I wasn't around for the arrival phase, I heard it went well though. The departure phase went very smoothly also (from my point of view at least ). Clear, standard RT and good airmanship all round! Couldn't have wished for better weather either!

All the best,

LXGB

Pity I had to miss it, I was booked in but the day job intervened. Sounds like it was interesting and useful.

Hope someone had a word with the Apache/Longbow pilots about flying over Knettishall at 200ft, maybe they didn't know we existed and were active. Great to watch but I wouldn't like to meet them coming the other way when I was on final.

ZA - They are aware, that's why they climb to 200ft - hypoxia territory for Army pilots.

Rob - Think I need a badge, I live outside the MATZ but work inside it, fairly close to the centre of it, actually.

We'll have to have a mini bash,

I'll be dragging Danny into your place to get signed up at the gliding club at the weekend. Other than that I've got a Jodel share at the south west corner of the Matz. Therefore I claim my 5 pounds and demand a resident's driving pass in return for a stash of badges.

For those who missed the MCASD at Wattisham earlier this year, here's the next one:

The Second 2007 Military Civil Air Safety Day (MCASD) will take
place at Royal Air Force Wittering on Friday 28th September
2007. Its aim is to promote closer ties between General Aviation
Pilots and MoD Aviation, focusing on the shared use of the lower
airspace. There will be a series of presentations throughout
the day concerning local airspace issues, Airprox reporting and
Distress & Diversion in the morning, and matters of interest
to General Aviation in the afternoon. Places are limited at this
popular event, so early registration is advisable. There will be a
limited number of ‘fl y-in’ places available. Registration forms can
be obtained from the website:
www.caa.co.uk/
through ‘Safety’, ‘General Aviation’ and ‘Information’, or just Google MCASD
Or by e-mail to: [email protected], asking for
a MCASD application form.
Direct Link

Cheers,
LXGB
