How about posting the basics LXGB?

As an example the Gasil article gives nothing more than the date and a Bentley Priory address for snail mail. Do they want anyone to attend?

Regards
Rob

Cheers

Do you mean that if I gave them a ring (IF I had the phone number), they wouldn't be able to squeeze a little one in?

Cheers

Whirls: you have email.

Details were published in flying mags last December.

I had my application approved on 12th January:

Things grind slowly in the military..............

Safe flying

Cusco's correct, if your name isn't already down then you've missed the boat I'm afraid! Full details have been sent to all visitors. It's next Tuesday, 22/05/07. It was advertised extensively in print and on the web, including GASIL 4/2006.

Looking forward to a good day!

Hi IOTC, are you upset because you missed the deadline? This is an unofficial thread on an unofficial forum about an event which is happening next week.

If you're not part of it, then why bother to post on it?

What is on the agenda for this get together?

Hi SkyHawk,

To give you an idea of what it's about, here's a cut and paste from the original webpage:

-----------------------------------
The first Military Civil Air Safety Day (MCASD) of 2007 will take place at Wattisham Station on Tuesday 22nd May. Its aim is to promote closer ties between MoD Aviation and the General Aviation community, focusing on the shared use of Lower Airspace. There will be a series of presentations throughout the day featuring local airspace issues, Distress and Diversion, and Airprox reporting during the morning and matters of General Aviation interest in the afternoon. There may be an opportunity to view a military aircraft on the ground.

Places are limited at this popular event, which will include a number of ‘Fly in’ places. Registration forms can be obtained from the CAA website:
www.caa.co.uk/ga followed by “Information”.
------------------------------------

The CAA and MOD weblinks have now been removed as the event is full.

Thanks LXGB, it doesn't go into much detail though.

Think I'll stay in and wash my hair.

Sorry you missed out on this one. Keep an eye on the CAA website and GASILs and you can sign up for the next one, no details as yet.

All the best,
LXGB

Am not upset I've missed out on the event.

I've been into Wattisham often enough - they are very helpful there.
Excellent service - they have even accommodated me on some circuits from time to time.

I wish you a good time there.

I simply don't have the stomache for seeing what the $odding dung-eating pongos have done to a once-proud RAF fighter station whence I once flew HM's F-4s.....

The place is contaminated with ba$tard clattering things these days....
