ringtones
Having been issued with a BlackBerry 8700 for work, I'm now in need of a very special ringtone.
Can one of you technically competent ppruners point me at a really good audio file of a Me109 starting?
You know, the wonderful reducing whine of the inertia starter followed by some big manly bangs? Much nicer than the spluttering Merlin or rattly old radials.
Google has only thrown up either poor quality sim files or poorly-miked airshow clips, and I'm not even sure what file format I need.
Thanks!

Hi there. I remember a web site, must have been a flight-sim web site, that has sound files that you can download of virtually every engine sound possible.
I don't do flight-sim so maybe someone here who does can point you in the right directon.
Once you have downloaded the sound file it will need converting to a MP3. Once it is an MP3 file you can save it on your desktop then connect you phone and transfer the file to your phone.
Once that is done I guess you find the file on your phone then select that as the ringtone. I don't have a Blackberry but I reckon most phones would have that option.

BRL thanks
I have now found this one, and will look for a utility to convert it to MP3
http://dnausers.d-n-a.net/dnetrAzQ/bf109.wav
which will do nicely.
Now all I have to do is get it past the ITPolice.....
regards
