I really don't want to make I fight over this so I shall just say in 2006 I do 472hrs, these included 5 Spain, 31 CI, 2 Ireland, 1 Prague and to many other European destinations to count.

A bit of carefull planning will allow a good chunk of the VFR touring, being IFR just allows even more.

I REALLY do like the plastic hot ships, if they were IFR legal I would get one in a shot. Who would turn down high speed, economy and good looks for a 25yr old spam can?

Any help will be appreciated.
I'd finish your PPL and then rent/bum rides until you have properly decided what you want to do and whether you want to do it.

Not a fight Bosey, was just arguing that it IS possible to tour VFR. How many of your 472 hours either was or could have been VFR?

IO - IMC? Though I do admit to having to divert twice in '06 due weather.

Definately not exceptional BTW, with the reduced running costs of a permit a/c many people fly far more and far further than they used to in their spam can days - I certainly do.
