France, wine, tomorrow, urgent help please

Intending to do a French run tomorrow in the twin.

Wouldnt mine somewhere different.

Requirments are:

a) Very, very close to a pace to get some good wine at good prices!

b) Customs so dont have to stop somewhere else

c) Enough hard runway to cope with the twin.

d) Not to far from the south coast at around 160 knots.

Thank you .

Cherbourg? Luc who runs the airport restaurant and bar has his own wine shop within it...And he sells a lot of decent vino too AND he will deliver it to the aircraft..

Sorted - and while you deliberate, eat in his simple yet very pleasant restaurant....He speaks our lingo too!

Thank you everyone.

Cherbourg got my vote but the forecast for today was not great - cbs, hail, and mucky weather.

On the other hand Lille although not suggested seemed appealing. I have only been there once before and never into the town.

Lille it was then!

What a fab day! I thoroughly recommend Lille as a destination. The town is vibrant, the landing fee amazingly cheap for a twin, and the bus on the hour every hour in to town and on the half hour back saves on the taxis fares.

I will go again.

BRL sorry I didnt see your post earlier - do PM me and I would enjoy your company on another occasion.

Once again thanks everyone for the suggestions.
