This video is utterly hilarious. Bit of a big download.

Seems like the fellow wrecked another two aircraft within a year of this accident.

Proves the crashworthiness of a Maule...

OK, this was before the morning coffee...
when I read the title I thought is was
"bonehead Bush" as in George Bush..

Funny video anyways..

NTSB info here. (OK, I admit to being sad looking it up - but Googling takes the mind off yet more $%^%£ turkey sandwiches )

His two other accident reports from 1995/6, as quoted on suprcub.org, also indicate that the pilot noted wind changes on take-off.

The background to the accident is also on that site; the footage even made it into a movie called "Endless Summer II"
