Well they've appeared on the met-offices site, admittedly with 'NO METAR AVAILABLE' as the data but still, it is getting up and running around now (IIRC). I'm sure I saw on one of the BBs that a few folks have now flown in there helping the ATCOs.

So.. when will it appear in the AIP? I've had a look on the web and couldn't find it listed in the Aerodromes section of the AIP.

Am I missing something?

I think it will appear in the AIP shortly but can't remember the date. I have seen the provisional copies of each page sent to HUY so it probably wont be long before they are published.

It's 17 years since I last flew into Finningley, it'll be fun to do it again. Can't wait.

I understand that recently, Finningley have been offering free approaches & t&g's in order to help train the Tower ATCOs. Not sure if this is still the case.

Anyone know the phone number for the tower at Finningley?

What's the runway orientation?

Is it GA friendly?

Thanks... C.A.

Today it was a range of single GA aircraft from the local area.

Made it slightly busier than EGSY on a sunny Summers Sunday.
