We were planning our annual New Year's Day Warbind Formation Flight, scheduled for 0800hrs Montreal time, but all the Freezing rain we received yesterday turned the runway into an ice rink. Perhasp I shall go skating instead :-(

It was so windy and bumpy today, I must be mad to even have thought about flying. Mud flying everywhere, poor old aircraft needed a bath and some clean pants for us.

maggioneato,

When you phoned this morning to see if I was coming to Caernarfon, I must confess I wondered if you were mad, or brave, or just a better pilot than I am, or all of the above! It's not clear from your post whether you made Caernarfon or not, but if you got airborne, well done anyway, and I hope you and the aircraft are now back in pristine condition. Actually, considering the weather, I'm glad to hear you're safely back on the ground!!!

Me, I spent my flying money sale shopping instead.

Hi Whirly, yes we made it to Caernarfon, but didn't indulge in the paddling we intended.
I think I would rather run the gauntlet of flying than going shopping. Still I enjoyed the flight in spite of the weather. Met up with hubby down there who had ridden down on his motorbike. He got home before me, but he got soaked.

Whirly, shame on you!!!

Having taken the BK home NYE, I took some Scottish visitors & the neighbours for a fly on 01/01/05 back to Melbourne. Nice weather, as well
