Looking to further experience

I have about 400 hrs on gliders and an NPPL (SLMG) with about 50 hrs on SF25C Falke and Grob 109b. Sadly my club sold the 109 recently leaving just the clunky Falke to fly when not in use for field landing and nav practice. I want to further my power flying, either on SLMG or to do differences training to SSEA. I currently fly from Lasham but can get to anywhere an hour west or north of London. Looking to share costs, build up confidence and and experience (not necessarily formal training) from flying with a more experienced P1.

Hi all

Got a few fun flights planned for the next few weeks and hoping to do some seat/cost sharing.

Planning flights from Southern England to various places around the UK, Lancashire, Yorkshire, Channel Islands and France. Mostly day trips. Also up for suggestions for other destinations and happy to pick/up drop off along the way.

Normally have five spare seats in a SEP and happy to let anyone do the flying in return for a small fuel contribution.

Anyone flying into Lundy within the next year? My mum and I fancy a trip and would be happy to cost share from any airfield in the south of England which is not too far from a train station (ie. taxi distance) - we are based in East Grinstead. PM me if so. NB.: runway is 400m long and a bit bumpy

You are 91 years old, and your mother still wants to go flying with you……….simply amazing!
Shame I live a bit out of the way, I would have given her a ride!

White Waltham, Booker, Denham

Hi all!

First time poster so please go easy on me!

Having previously done a bit of gliding I have been grounded for the last few years due to various other commitments (BOO!). I'm looking at getting back into the air and hoping to embark on my PPL in the next few months.

Interested in getting in touch with people flying out of White Waltham, Booker or Denham who may have the occasional spare right hand (or even better front!) seat they'd be willing to share with a newbie looking to gain some experience. Of course happy to share costs/buy lunch, etc.

Principally around at weekends, but have some time to take off by the end of the year so may be able to do the odd week day here and there.

Budding private pilot here, embarking on my PPL, only a few hours in but very keen! 24 years old, currently located in London and the New Forest (at varying times each month) and would love the opportunity to meet pilot's/trainees of a similar age to share seats/costs and have fun flying!

Flying in Portugal

I hope to be flying from Portimao again sometime during w/b 24th October 2011. If anyone is interested in joining me, drop me a PM.

I am a low hours PPL, who spends some time in Spain/Portugal. On my last two trips, I have hired an aircraft from Portimao, once with an Instructor, and last time by myself. I flew along the Algarve, just over the border into Spain, and then back again. I will be in Portugal from 7th to 21st August, and hope to hire the aircraft again, perhaps for a flight to La Juliana (just outside Seville)for a landing, and back this time. Am looking to start a PPL course and would really like to experience some flying to get the feel of things, meet new people, days out etc. Have had one trial flying lesson at Booker, loved it, i now have the flying bug. I live just outside Southampton but can also get to Booker, Denham, and other West London airfields at various times. I work shifts so am often around weekdays as well as weekends. I appreciate its not the best time of year for VFR flying but if anyone would like some company I would be more than happy to pay for lunch, landing fees, fuel etc. My email is [email protected] .
