A friend of a friend here (Kazakhstan) has just bought a Yak 18. Previously owned by a Turkish Minister (hence Turkish registration), lovely two pack paint and 135 hours on the clock. A snip at $45k methinks.

I was visiting family earlier this month and met G-FLSH and owner at Rochester.

I bored him stupid with questions about it for what must have been an hour while he waited for his passenger. He was great and let me have a seat in it pointing everything out. There isnt anything like this where I am from and it was a real treat to watch him finally depart. What a noise and the vortices from the prop tips!

I thought I wanted one before, Oh boy I want one now!

The owner, depsite being late and wet waiting around was very happy to answer my questions, if only he had more time I would have chanced my luck and asked for a flight.

Certianly think this guy would be happy to help

All the best,

Regards,

Buster

Does anyone know of a Yak 9 (dual control) in the UK ? I think there might be one somewhere, I thought I had seen an ad in pilot a couple of years back advertising shares in one, does it exist?
