Take the BART to the SFO airport, then the bus to San Carlos airport (KSQL) and on the east side, in the terminal, is one of the best.
Closed Mondays I believe.

A bit futhur south, the Airport Shoppe over at Reid-Hillview (RHV) in East San Jose is a good size and worth the drive/ride. Last I was there I picked up some good book bargains at their clearance racks. They've also got a branch store at Palo Alto (PAO) but its not as big.

San Carlos (shop) is closed Tues I think.

Would recommend Reid Hillview (airportshoppe).

Are you doing any flying out this way?

You have a fairly good selection of shops to choose from. San Carlos, Palo Alto, Reid Hill View and San Jose Int'l all have pilot shops. From my experience the one at San Carlos is a little on the small side. The Flying Gift Shop (SJC) used to have a good selection... if you could put up the owner who was sometimes a little over the top.

Enjoy the trip.
