Anyone been to Davidstow Moor?
I've got friends who recently moved nearby and am thinking of giving it a visit. In the AFE 2004 flightguide it seems to suggest it is mainly microlights. Reading betwen the lines (and looking at the half-mil chart), I suspect it is a God-forsaken strip of pot-holed concrete in the middle-of-nowhere.
Anyone been?

PS. I tried a search for "Davidstow" and it came up with the "What's your favourite cheese?" thread on JetBlast.

Not been there for a couple of years, but unless it's improved with age your summary isn't far out.
Also used for grazing sheep all year, locals teach their kids to drive on it, and a public road across the middle.

I went there a couple of years ago. It is a bit broken but the club try and keep one runway in use and relatively stone free.

On second thoughts, perhaps I'll give it a miss then...
Thanks for your comments.

P.S Genghis said ..... "Unless its improved with age...." Is the runway really made of out of mature cheddar then?
